Glenys Cepeda Rivas most known in the art and design industry as Glenys Rivas was born in the Dominican Republic where at the age of 12 developed a fascination with arts, colors, design, crochets, embroideries, and clothing styles. After graduating from New York Fashion Institute of Technology in 2001, she remained in New York City and has built a career of 20-years as an Artist and Fashion Designer. Glenys has worked for various large designing companies like Bill Blass, Lee Jeans and Cold Water Creek, Etc. Glenys also worked for various non-profit organization like  The Creative Center, Goddard Riverside Community Center and University Settlement Society of New York as a workshop Artist in Residents teaching craft, arts and design to seniors and people with chronic illness for 2 years. In November of 2012 she founded https://www.modadsign.com a fashion design consulting service and an online retail shop where you can find exclusively Glenys Rivas’ design creations, and can also see her fashion shows created to give young minority ladies and girls the opportunity to model for the first time along side professional models to guide them and they also  had the experience to wear a custom couture dress, made just for them at no cost.
